Self-Locking Webbing, Simple Method

Step1: Tie an overhand on a bight in the webbing and connect it to the anchor side then run the webbing through the carabiner that is attached to the guiding line.

Step2: Place an additional bend in the webbing near the guiding lines carabiner.

Step3: Unclip the carabiner and reclip it over both bends of webbing.

Step4: Slip the upper most bend of webbing under the lower bend of webbing.

Remember to tie off the system so it cannot accidentally come undone. I find that the best way to do the tie-off is to run the webbing through the carabiner opposite the self-locking side and tie it off with a half hitch followed by an overhand knot.
