Ways of Tensioning a Guiding Line

__The Voodoo system/Transport Hitch:__

The maximum that I was able to pretension this system was 175_lbf.

Due to the difference in friction between the two systems below the actual mechanical advantage is the same even though one system is a 4:1 and the other is a 5:1. Doing a quick test on a 15' guiding line, I was only able to achieve a pretension of 250_lbf in the guiding line regardless of the system used. FYI, when bouncing a 220_lbf load in the center of the guiding line the tension increased to 650_lbf, a 3/8" diameter PMI Easy-Bend rope was used during this test.
